Africa Joanah, also known as Nanyunja Joanah, is a Ugandan recording artist. born on June 26th, 1997, at Mulago Hospital by Nakyambadde Josephine and John Kibalama.

Early Education

Attended New Omega Primary School before continuing her studies at St. Paul Kyebando Primary School, where i studied from Primary Three to Primary Seven.

Further Education and Career Aspirations

In 2023, Africa Joanah enrolled at Gracher Michael Skilling School, where i pursued tailoring and fashion design. However, she did not complete the course. Initially, she had aspirations to study information technology and barrister

Music Career

Joanah started singing while still in school but later gained recognition when she became a backup singer for another Ugandan male artist, Gravity Omutujju. She featured in his song *Okwapicha*, which was produced by Bless Touch. She also collaborated with renowned artist Dry tea on the song *Tugambile ku Jeniffer *, a track that also had contributions from Ugandan singer Bobi Wine.

As a solo artist, Joanah released a song titled *Samanya from Musa Dee *.

Personal Life & Controversies

At one point, Joanah was arrested in Nansana for allegedly working without proper documentation. The situation arose after she went to perform at an introduction ceremony while her mother was sick. She reportedly sought financial assistance, but the matter was later resolved as no official complaint was filed.
