The latest news reaching our desk indicates the promoter who booked Ugandan music superstar Mun G is in tears after his first West Nile music tour event with Mun G flopped last night at Cream Land Motel in Paidha.
Promoter(name withheld) who happens to be the proprietor of Goli Guest House, is with Mun G for 3 shows tour within Zombo and Pakwach District; Paidha, Goli and Panyimur. His first event was in Paidha at Creamland Motel last night and from the accounts of some of the eyewitnesses that attended this event last night, it seems like the people of Paidha have fallen deeply in love with their own home music(alur music) because they say, they couldn't believe their eyes.
They say, the event met one of the worst crowd turn-ups ever in the history of events at Creamland Motel. It is said that less than 50 people were in the building last night to attend the show, leaving MUN G plus his promoter in total shock.
Reasons for the poor turn up has been labelled on the love, alur people are currently showing their home talent added with the poor promotion of the event.
For the record, just last week, Sisi, a female artist from alur land held one of the most successful concert in the land with over thousands of turn up in Nebbi and Pakwach. The event was fully graced by local artistes within alur land. This left us with a big question mark on how a big brand like Oli Wamanyi star, Mun G could only manage to pull a handful of people for his show.??
We have been trying to reach MUN G and his promoter for comments on the flop but, our efforts have been rendered fruitless.
