The national team Ugandan Cranes are on strike and have refused to train over unsettled bounce allowance promised to the players by Fufa.

This comes ahead of a crucial game against Africa’s best-ranked team Senegal on July 5th in the round of 16.

Fufa was allocated over 10 Billion Shillings by President Y.K.Museveni to facilitate the team for the AFCON tournament.

However, Fufa insists it exercised its mandate to settle the players and disregard the outcry by the boys.

Below are the reasons for the strike;

1. Fufa paid some players and didn't pay others.

2. The paid players were paid less by 1 Million.

3. Fufa failing to settle all players equally.

4. Fufa failing to pay the promised allowance of USD 10,000 to each player for AFCON Qualification.

“Yes, we decided as a group to keep out of training to send a big message across so that the leaders can pay us,” one of the senior players who did not want his name revealed told URN on Tuesday night.
