Pakwach-based artiste Kyali Pro, also known as Ulonge Champion, has been released from police custody after being detained for over five hours.
Kyali Pro was held at Walukuba Police Station following allegations of financial misconduct brought against him by a former employer before his breakthrough in the Alur music scene, a source informed this website.
At 5:02 PM (Ugandan time), Kyali Pro confirmed his release during a brief phone conversation with our reporter, stating, "I am already out, bro. We have finished it."
He then handed the phone to his colleague, Vano Vino, who has been accompanying him throughout the ordeal. Vano Vino expressed excitement, saying, "We are now in Wanseko, coming home."
Efforts to reach Kyali Pro’s manager, MozoMozo, were unsuccessful as his known telephone numbers remained unreachable at the time of publication.
