Fast-rising musical artiste Ogona Mazima, has been admitted to Angal General Hospital following an alleged poisoning incident earlier today, 24th April, 2025.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred in Dei Sub-county, Pakwach District, where the 'Wayalama Lamarac' hitmaker was reportedly drinking with fellow musicians.
The exact circumstances surrounding the alleged poisoning remain unclear, and authorities have yet remained mute.
Fellow Dei-based artistes have expressed concern and solidarity with Ogona. Os Touch, a close associate, shared words of encouragement stating, “Bed Macwinyi Tek Omira Ogona Mazima, Mungu Tiye.”
Another artiste, Isteve Hero Bwoy, posted on his status, showing sympathy for his colleague.
Ogona Mazima has gained popularity in Dei, parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Lake Albert region, and across Pakwach District and the greater Nebbi.
He was recently nominated in the 2024 JUNAM Music Awards under the 'Upcoming Artiste of the Year' category.
Several prominent entertainers, including Star Boy Junior, Bushy D’King, and Karts Legacy, have publicly shown support for Ogona, highlighting his growing influence in the region’s music scene.
