Musician Elton Lover Boy has urged fellow artists not to take social media comments too seriously to protect their mental health.

The Ithum Ikuma hitmaker suggested that artists should let others manage their social media accounts, as is done in developed countries, to avoid impulsive and unprofessional responses.

Reflecting on his own experiences, Elton revealed that negative comments sometimes leave him feeling frustrated to the point of wanting a physical confrontation. However, he has learned to remind himself that social media interactions are often not worth such reactions.

He shared a particularly hurtful experience when someone commented that he "sounds like a frog," remarking that while such comments can sting, he asked those who dislike his content to simply move on, as “their opinions really do not count.”

Elton also urged content creators to differentiate between content creation and personal attacks, as the latter can deeply hurt the targeted person.

Elton made these remarks during an interview on the Daily Fix Podcast UG when host Maas Manus, asking about the mixed social media reactions surrounding the upcoming Superior Music Festival in Paidha and Baby Junior’s show.

The two events are scheduled for Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, with the Superior Music Festival taking place at Elite Frontier Beach Paidha and Baby Junior performing at Lady M Bar.
