Reports indicate that Alur female artists are scheduled to hold a peace meeting on September 7, 2024, at the George Adubango Foundation (GAF Apartments) in Nebbi Municipality.

The meeting will be chaired by Rasta Longe, the self-proclaimed President of the Alur Music Industry.

The meeting intends to address the ongoing disputes among female musicians in the Alur community.

"We have observed growing tensions among our female musicians. This meeting is an opportunity for us to come together and find solutions to these issues," Longe stated.

Rasta Longe also noted that one of the key topics for discussion will be the reasons behind the relative "underperformance of female musicians compared to their male counterparts."

Speaking to DJ Rojjabwoy, a Nebbi/Nyaravur based DJ " strongly support the move"  noting that " it's is a great move and it is the way to Go."

A delegation from the Greater Alur Musicians Association (GRAMA) will also attend the meeting to resolve the recent conflict between Jay Jags, the Vice Chairman/President of GRAMA, and artist Ashley Dee.

The altercation between the two Zombo based artists occurred after the GRAMA's general meeting last Sunday,25, August 2024.

The exchange between Jay Jags and Ashley Dee, which involved verbal confrontation and finger-pointing, led to mixed reactions within the musicians present.

The incident escalated to the extent that the management of GAF Apartments has warned that if such behavior continues, the venue may no longer be available for future meetings of artistes.

A source from the venue management emphasized that "the venue hosts a diverse range of clients," and if the artists do not adhere to acceptable conduct, "they will be barred from holding their meetings here."
