It is not a secret that, some songs from some Alur artists have received zero airplay on Nebbi based radio station, 88.2 Rainbow Fm , leaving the fans of the artists puzzled on what could be going on inside the might radio station.
This website has learnt that, the station has drawn lines regarding content on songs to be played on air, below are some of the guidelines that artists need to take serious while recording their songs with aim to earn air play on Rainbow fm.
SONGS WITH NAME MENTIONS
We understand the management and presenters of this radio station sat and came out boldly to ban any song that has name mentions from playing on air. Songs that can be played are songs where an artist has only mentioned the name of his manager, label, audio producer, music studio.
Any song with mentions of radio presenters, Deejays more than one, company products or any business entities and politicians have been thrashed from playing on Rainbow Fm. This is the reason why most of the songs from renowned and upcoming artists who like mentioning names aren’t played on air.
It is said the station considers such songs as adverts, and kills their advert conversion rate, therefore an artist can make two version of a song that; clean without names for the air play and the ones with names for ground and own consumption, but they won’t play any song with name mentions.
Secondly, they consider songs with names of radio presenters disrespectful to other presenters whose names are not mentioned.
