FUFA Suspends Onduparaka’s Player Rashid Okocha From All Football Activities

Uganda's footballing body Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has suspended Rashid Okocha of Onduparaka Fc from all football activities.

 

The body made the announcement today through its Facebook page.

 

This comes after a photo of Okocha pointing his finger at a referee during Onduparaka Fc and SC Villa match hit online.

 

 

In statement, FUFA states the player violated the body’s rules of Competitions as per their Article 31(2) and 31(3). For that, the player will not be allowed to take part in any football activities effective 30th November 2021 to 18th December 2021.

 

The statement read in full;

''The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has suspended Onduparaka FC player Rashid Okocha from all football activities effective 30th November 2021 until 18th December 2021 for violating FUFA Competitions rules and regulations Article 31(2) and 31 (3) during his club’s match with Sc Villa.

Okocha was seen playing in a violent manner towards an opponent, attacked the referee and delayed to get out of the field of play after being shown a red card.

Okocha has also been fined UGX 500,000 to be paid by 18th December 2021’’, - FUFA
