Sections of Gulu based artists earlier submitted their list to Gulu district Task force requesting for food relief. The submission left some artists wondering who made the list containing around 175 names and how their names featured the list without their consent.
Jenneth Prischa requested her name to be cleared off, however, her move was criticized by lady Zulu Anena who told her to pick the food and give to her mum at least.
Prischa told westnilexpozed that she was shocked on Zulu's reactions. "But how could artists put the District task force on pressure yet there are many people who badly off and starving to death? Imagine most of these people starving are our fans who supports our music regularly, we should give back instead" Said Jenneth .
Immediately the Mony Polo hit maker called Pamela Peace about the issue and immediately the two withdrawn some little from their savings, rushed straight to the store and bought 500 Kilogram (Kg) of maize flour worth 1,000,000/= and donated the items to Gulu district Task force on Thursday 21st may.
This move was welcomed by Major Okot Lapolo RDC Gulu District and applauded the duo for their kind heart. He also encouraged other artists to donate and support their starving fans during this lockdown.
Below is a statement made by Gulu district local government; "MUSICIANS GIVE BACK TO FANS The District Chairman Mr Ojara Martin Mapenduzi and the RDC major Santos Lapolo yesterday received 500kgs of Maize Flour from female musicians Pamela Peace and Janet Prisca.
The Donation was an act of giving back to their fans who have always supported their talent through the years. They called upon fellow artists in the District to join hands to donate and support fans who have been affected by the lock down.
#GuluDistrictTogetherWeExcel" Jenneth Prischa had also released a single gospel titled "Tic pa Rubanga" translated as work of God. She released the track a week ago.
