Ugandan were left in shock last Friday 6th March 2020 when unknown assailants took raid over Zombo barracks that left 5 UPDF soldiers and 23 of the attackers dead with 33 captured.
Uganda security forces has now revealed the motive and leader of the Zombo attackers.
During a press briefing yesterday, the Uganda security team revealed that, Oponjuru Howard is the main man behind the group that attacked the barracks under his alleged rebel group called the Uganda Homeland Liberation Forces.
They further revealed that, the motive of this group and the attack was to over throw the current government with each fighter promised ugx 500,000 rewards after a successful fight.
These attackers held their training in Kyatiri Masindi district before they came up for the attack on the Zombo barracks.
Oponjuru made a very sweeping post on different Facebook platforms pre to the day of the attack. Something that gave the security more reasons....
However, Howard refutes the claim that he led the attack and called it childish.
