Ykee Benda unveiled his own record label after the “Amina” hit song called “Mpaka Records” on Thursday November 1 last year that he took two years to see through.
According to Ykee Benda, the studio would mainly cater to promoting young artists.
The "Maradona" hit maker had been the only musician around town signed to label until he decided to add another one Katende Andrew alias Dre Cali to the label.
Dre Cali is a contemporary raggae dancehall singer and song writer who has been actively singing for the last 8 months.
He released his first single titled ‘Zigi Zaga’ on the same day he was unveiled at Mpaka Records located in Bukasa, a Kampala suburb.
