Veteran striker Mike Mutyaba scored his and the season’s first hat trick as KCCA FC beat Onduparaka 4-0 on Friday.
In the game played at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, Mutyaba scored all his goals in the second half.
The first was off a rebound after Onduparaka FC goalkeeper Yussuf Wasswa had spilt substitute Erisa Ssekisambu’s effort.
He then riffled in the second after he was set up by Mustafah Kizza’s short corner.
To complete his hat trick, Mutyaba converted from the spot after Atendele Geriga had brought down Sadat Anaku.
Earlier, Sadat Anaku had opened the scoring with a fine finish off a sublime flick to beat Dudu Ramadhan.
The Kasasiros could have scored more but Mutyaba headed wide from point-blank range late in the game.
The former Express FC and Vipers SC striker also hit the crossbar with a fierce drive in the first half.
Kizza also forced Wasswa into a save from a free-kick while the custodian tipped over Anaku’s effort.
Onduparaka FC could have taken the lead early in the game but Charles Lukwago pulled off a fine save to deny Rajab Kakooza.
Gibson Adinho and Muhammad Rashid also failed to beat Lukwago from decent positions.
The victory means that KCCA FC has now won all of their 4 home games against Onduparaka since the first meeting in 2016.
The Kasasiros also ended a three-game winless run in the league and now have 10 points from six games this season.
For Onduparaka, they remain on 15 points from 9 matches so far.
In their next fixtures, KCCA FC will be at home to Kyetume while Onduparaka host Tooro United.
